A little news: Hole in the ozone layer may be gone by 2050!Also worth noting is that there are currently about 2.2 million people incarcerated within the US. That translates to about one in every 136 U.S. residents. Furthermore, a whopping 12 percent of African-American men between the ages of 25 and 29 are now incarcerated. Scary stuff. And don't forget that prisions are a "growth industry."
Representative Karen A. Yarbrough of Illinois' 7th District has found a rather interesting, and previously unused, rule applying to the US House of Representatives: Section 603 of Jefferson's Manual of the Rules of the United States House of Representatives. This section, effectively, allows a state legislature to issue a joint resolution in order to initiate federal impeachment proceedings. Illinois House Joint Resolution 125 does exactly that. Whether this will actually pass through the state legislature still remains to be seen. California has also just introduced very similar legislature, only this time it also calls for the impeachment of Cheney as well! California Assemblyman Paul Koretz of Los Angeles basically completely regutted the AJR 39 Bill he had previously introduced to try and obtain a moratorium on depleted uranium. California is a much more liberal state than Illinois, and so I have high hopes of this actually passing. Ofcourse this is only the first step. Just because the proceedings are initiated doesn't mean anything will actually come of it. I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited to see where this goes.
"Patients receive organs grown in the lab Researchers have previously grown and transplanted skin, heart valves, islet cells and bone samples, but not on the scale of an entire bladder.ENTIRE human organs grown in the laboratory have been successfully transplanted for the first time, paving the way for a new era of “spare part” medicine. Seven people suffering from a serious bladder condition received replacement organs engineered by a team of US scientists using the patients’ own cells . . . . . . The bladders were grown from the patients’ own cells, so there was no risk of rejection." --GNN Wed, Mar. 29th, 2006, 11:55 am
Has offically launched. Not all the content is up yet...but that might take years. Specificly I need to add the new, not so brutal, posters. If you guys could look at it, give me feedback, and spread the word on it'd be very much appreciated.
Tue, Mar. 28th, 2006, 06:08 pm so busy
Ah, havn't had time to post in a whole...so busy doing work. Anyways, i'm basicily just posting to say that i finally completed my angel intaglio plate. It didn't come out quite how i wanted it...but i knew from the beginning of the project that it would probably exceed my techinical ability. If I had another two weeks to work on it I could probably fix the problem I have with it...but it was already due a few weeks ago (my edittion was late). Anyways, I just wanted to throw that out there so you guys could see some of the stuff i've been working on. Any comments or feedback would be appreciated.

Havn't been posting very much lately, but things have been going well. Lots of work, but it's been things that I'm very enthused with.
"Poll: 72% of US Soldiers in Iraq Want Exit Within Year A new poll from Zogby International shows nearly three-quarters of US troops in Iraq believe the US should pull out within one year. One-quarter of those surveyed believe the US should leave now. And only one in five US troops want to heed President Bush’s pledge that US forces stay “as long as they are needed.” The poll also found an overwhelming majority of US troops believe the widely discredited theory that Saddam Hussein was involved in the 9/11 attacks. 90% said the Iraq war was a retaliation for Saddam Hussein’s supposed role in 9/11." --DN!
"U.S. President George W. Bush’s job rating has fallen to an all-time low of 34 percent, amid strong opposition to the Dubai Ports World deal and increasing pessimism over the war in Iraq, according to a CBS News poll released on Monday . . .
Long among his strongest suits, ratings for Bush’s handling of Iraq fell to a new low of 30 percent, down from 37 percent in January, the poll found.
In addition, 62 percent of Americans said they think U.S. efforts to bring stability and order to Iraq were going badly compared with 36 percent who said things were going well." --GNN Thu, Feb. 23rd, 2006, 01:15 pm Well shit
Well shit. Alito has been on the bench for less than a month, and already conservatives are preparing to over turn Roe vs. Wade. South Dakota legislators just outlawed abortion except in situations required to save the life of the mother. If this is brought to the supreme court there is a very good chance that they'll uphold it, striking down Roe vs Wade. The supreme court is already tackling one abortion case: weither to reinstate a feberal ban on late term abortions. Either of these cases (or many more sure to be on the way) could be the catalyst to send us back to the days of coathangers. Disguesting. If this happens there better be an uprising in the streets. Time to do a photo project based on it. Get support going.

Alright, here is the first mockup (though its pretty close to its final stage by now) of one of my new photo projects. The series will be entitled 'The Real Face of War,' and will (hopefully) have a postering campeign amoungst other things. The basic concept is to take the gresome photos (taken by the troops over in Iraq) that i posted a link to a few months ago, and use them for clothes on people, or project them on their faces. Right now i'm focusing on Bush and his canbient...but i'm planning on runnings a second version later on with ordinary people off the street (to show how the common day person is ignorant of what war really means). For some reason the host im using is being bitchy (it won't let me link to the images) so you'll have to copy and paste them into the location bar if you want to see them. clicking the links will not workMedium Sized Version: http://gaea2.freeownhost.com/cheneyMiddleSize.jpgSmall Sized Version: http://gaea2.freeownhost.com/cheneySmallSize.jpgMy final prints are going to be somewhere between 8.5x11 and 20x21. Though they will be ssssssssssooooooooooooooooo expencive if i use the good printers at school. I need sponcership :P

Does anyone know of a free webhost for political activism? I need someplace without ads that i can host a website for a new project i'm doing. The material is somewhat contraversal. There is theoreticly the possibility of lawsuits (as i'm using portions of various images) but i believe my use falls within the 'fair use' doctrine. Any ideas?
